The client aimed to create an all-in-one personal productivity companion — offering users the ability to plan tasks, build habits and maintain focus — while delivering a smooth, modern mobile experience.
The main challenges included:
We began with a user-flow mapping exercise, identifying the core user paths: task creation, habit setup, timer start/stop, daily review. Next, we designed a modular architecture so each function (tasks, habits, timer) could operate independently but share common backend components.
Key technical measures included: caching of frequent data (to-do lists, habit logs), lightweight background services for reminder notifications, and dynamically-loaded widget components for home-screen access. We also crafted a clean visual system with clear typography, prioritised task visibility, and intuitive transitions between modules.

On launch, the Task Manager & To-Do List + app delivered a unified productivity experience where users could manage tasks, track habits and use focus timers in one place. The streamlined architecture made it easier for the client to roll out updates to modules independently. Users benefited from smoother performance, quicker access to functionality (via widgets and shortcuts), and a personalised interface suited to their workflow. The client now has a solid foundation to expand with analytics, subscription tiers and deeper habit-tracking features
