As the brand expanded its direct-to-consumer (D2C) footprint and international distributor network, Allbirds sought a digital platform that could mirror its eco-conscious identity while delivering a seamless shopping experience across regions.

The Challenge of the Project

Our Solution & Approach

We conducted a detailed audit of the legacy site’s architecture, performance metrics and international traffic behaviour. Armed with these findings, our team developed a new digital architecture on Shopify (or similar eCommerce stack) suited for scale, multi-region deployment and brand storytelling.

  • A custom theme reflecting Allbirds’ minimal aesthetic and sustainability narrative, ensuring every interaction felt aligned with the brand’s “better things, better way” ethos.
  • Global capabilities: multi-currency display, regional shipping logic, distributor channel integrations, all built into the platform to support growth into new territories.
  • Performance optimisation: media-rich product pages (high-resolution lifestyle imagery, material-story sections) were balanced with lazy-loading, CDN caching and responsive design to maintain fast load times across devices and regions.
